Free Operation Camp at GHPasighat

Phir vi Dil Hai Hundustani: Maddiwar
PASIGHAT, Feb 7: TheDistrict Administration, Arun Jyoti (NGO), Dept. of H&FW and Remote AreaMedical Corp ((RMPC), Knoxville, USA have come together to organize a FreeOperation Camp for the poor and needy patients at the General Hospital, herefrom Feb 7-12.
The camp was formally inaugurated today by thestates health minister Tanga Byaling in presence of the local MLA and presentEducation Minister Bosiram Siram, Secretary Health Kaling Tayeng, DC OnitPanyang, JDHS Dr. Kabang Lego, DMO Dr. T. Taloh and doctors and staffs of GHPasighat and organizing members of Arun Jyoti.
In their speeches all, both the ministers, DC,members of Arun Jyoti and the entire medical fraternity conveyed their thanksthe NRI doctors for their patriotism and extended best wishes stating that theycame to give free surgical services and to & fro expenditures are beingborne by themselves for the noble cause.
All together ten NRI Physicians, who went overseasdecades ago namely Dr. Gangadhar Maddiwar, Dr. Qutup Nadaf, Dr.Subhas Puranik,Dr. Gangadhar Sangvai, Dr. Mohini Gehani, Dr. Monoj Kulkarni, Dr. VinayakKulkarni, Dr. Harish Pariani, Dr. Mukti Kulkarni and Er. Saurav MajhiEndoscopic Specialist (Kolkata) are participating in the free camp.
While speaking on the felicitation ceremonyorganized by the hospital authority, the team leader Dr. Gangadhar Maddiwar, MSFRCS Cincinnati, USA expressed their satisfactions over the local arrangementsand further stated "Indian health services are witnessing manifold growthin terms of quality and size and it was good to visit the motherland and theywere really thrilled to be back with a mission to serve people in India. Hequoted the famous Hindi song Saar Pe Lal Topi Pehni Phirvi Dil Hai Hundustani.Maddiwar also conveyed his deep sense of gratitude to Stan Brock (Hollywoodactor) the founder of Remote Area Medical Corp, Knoxville, USA and informedthat the organization is serving a large number of people all over the worldproviding medical helps like free surgeries and medicines as gifts from the USAto the patients.
Later the health minister Tanga Byalingaccompanied by Education Minister visited the DMO Office and inaugurated thenewly constructed Office building-cum-Store of DRCHO Pasighat.
